About me

A little more on my story and who I am. Well, I would describe myself as a creative and self-motivated kind of person, with a can-do attitude and a passion for visual design. I believe the difference is in the detail and I love creating designs and online experiences.

This website shows some of my work that I've created over the years, as well as telling a bit more about my story.

Where it all started

My digital design journey started way back when the internet was young (and so was I ). I saw a book called ‘Build Your First Webpage in a Weekend’.  It changed my life forever :0)

Now, I'm old, remember, so this was back before snazzy CMS options like WordPress existed. It was a defining moment in my work life; I loved learning about HTML and how to create something that was instantly accessible across the entire planet. It blew me away and I still marvel at the power of the internet today, even if it has become infinitely scarier!

That book, along with a few others, helped me get my first 'proper' job as a Junior Web Designer in a publishing company. I never looked back. That job led me to relocate to Brighton and since then I have always loved living near the sea. I had three design jobs in Brighton spanning over 15 years before becoming a dad, moving to Valencia and exchanging office work for (mainly) childcare duties.

To follow your heart or your head?

A couple of years ago, my family and I relocated to Valencia in Spain. It was a life changing moment and, you know, sometimes you just have to decide whether to follow your heart or your head. There's no right or wrong and having gone with our hearts, here we are creating a brand-new chapter.

New home, new chapter

I would now call Valencia home, although with visits back to my second 'home' of Brighton, I like to think that home can be more than one place! Let's just say I live near the sea which I think is fabulous!

When I’m not busy doing school runs and 'homework', you’ll find me walking in the city or by the beach, playing with my two boys, cooking in the kitchen or planning the next travel adventure with the fam!
